Laminated Glass

Our high-performance Laminated Glass is composed of two or more sheets of glass permanently bonded together with one or more tough plastic interlayers (PVB - Polyvinyl Butyral) under heat and pressure. In the event of breakage, the glass fragments adhere firmly to the PVB interlayer, keeping the pane intact to prevent injury, while providing outstanding acoustic control and 99% UV blockage.

Thickness: 6.38mm - 39.8mm+
Max Size: 2440mm x 3660mm
Acoustic Control: Up to 38 dB reduction
UV Protection: Blocks 99% of UV rays

Frequently Asked Questions

When laminated glass is subjected to heavy impact, it may crack but the broken shards remain stuck to the inner PVB plastic layer. The pane stays intact within its frame, preventing sharp shards from flying or falling down, thereby avoiding injury.
Yes. The inner PVB polymer layer behaves as an acoustic dampener, absorbs sound energy, and breaks up sound wave frequencies. Laminated glass can reduce traffic, airport, and general street noise by up to 38-42 dB.
Yes. Because it stays intact when shattered, a burglar cannot easily clear a hole to reach through. Even with sledgehammers or axes, penetrating the sticky PVB film takes a significant amount of effort and time, which acts as a strong deterrent.
